It’s been a busy couple of weeks.
One of those weeks was spent in California which featured several noteworthy events, most of which center around seeing old friends and missing LA. However the main reason for my trip, and by far the best experience was my first ever featured speaking event as an author! It was held on Saturday March 19 ( I know! I know! I’m a bit behind.) at the Ontario Public Library as a part of Women’s History Month. The audience was marvelous and asked tons and tons of great questions.I had a blast talking about anything and everything from my writing routine to my favorite authors to whether I prefer DC comics or Marvel. I’m definitely looking forward to the next time I get to engage with fellow book and fantasy nerds again! 🙂
This past week was spent frantically running around in preparation for this weekend. What is so special about this weekend, you ask? Well, just sit tight and I’ll tell you… …. … I’m going to my first Sci-Fi convention in WAYNE, NEBRASKA! I’ve never in my life been so excited about going to Nebraska. Usually the extent of my involvement with the Cornhusker State is rooting against them when Missouri Tigers play them in college football. I think I’m all ready to go. The biggest project I had was building a stand for my banner (which is Gorgeous!!!) using an old IKEA kids dresser as a base. It’s super cool. Storage and bling together at last!
In other news, check the 2011 Appearance Schedule to see where I’ll pop up next. I’ll make sure to blog as events are added. So far 3 are confermed. It’s time to get this show on the road and sell some books!
